in The Bible Faith
“And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God…” Matthew 4:3.
Jesus Christ till he was 30 was just an ordinary man, until he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. He was blameless, like the original Adam. He lived as man was intended to live. He lived as the original Adam. He was blameless. He was innocent, but chose to live under and according to the Law(the Word). He had not been born again. As a man he must have been prone to doubts. After his baptism(the Father’s recognition of Him) He was tempted in the wilderness. The first two temptations always began with these words:
“If you are really the Son of God…”
Didn’t the tempter know?
Didn’t Jesus know?
He had never compromised the knowledge of who He was with sin(disobedience). He had never chosen to live outside the knowledge He had gained of Himself through an uninterrupted relationship with His Father. Their fellowship had never been broken, because like us, Jesus had the choice if He wished to break it. That was the source of His perfect faith.
“Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5: 48.
“AND when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.” Genesis 17: 1.
Meaning never lose your focus. That is the source of bible faith.
